A reply unlike any other from Liechtenstein, this one from HSH Prince Alois, the Prince Regent, son of Prince Hans-Adam II. Replies from Liechtenstein are usually hand signed, but straight-forward and on preprinted cards for specific occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and other official events. A few months ago, however, I sent the Prince Regent a letter of support regarding a difficult decision he had to make. This reply is a rare reply to such correspondence.

The reply is on palace stationery that is unlike the typical cards. It features the crown of Liechtenstein and says boldly “VADUZ”. Other features that distinguish this from other replies out of the royal court: it arrived in an envelope quite different than other replies, it is dated, includes a personal salutation, and references my letter.

It is hand signed by His Serene Highness. A gold star addition to the collection.
