Last month, the senior equerry to Their Majesties King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort, celebrated the birth of his daughter. I sent a congratulatory note addressed to him at Buckingham Palace quite certain a reply would be a very unlikely. You can imagine my very pleasant surprise to receive not only a reply, but a personally signed reply from Lt. Col. Thompson.

As you can see, the valediction appears to have been written by someone else, but the signature is certainly his.

This is by far the most interesting bit of “royal adjacent” mail I have ever received.
