Earlier this year, His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia was diagnosed with cancer and travelled to China for treatment. I sent a message of well wishes and good health and am pleased to have received this lovely hand signed reply. This is my third signed reply from His Majesty.

The Cambodian royal court sends these responses in large envelopes with the letter unfolded, as opposed to the more typical trifold I usually receive. Unfortunately, this means the letters often become somewhat creased and wrinkled, as you can see.

King Sihamoni remains the only Asian monarch to have replied to my letters.
