The Royal Court in Monaco is extremely generous with their replies, most particularly for major events like birthdays and anniversaries. A couple of months ago I sent a letter of congratulations to HSH Prince Albert II on the occasion of his Accession Day. The Palais Princier did not dissapoint!

The envelope had a real treat in store: the stamp cancellation features a mark celebrating the 70th wedding anniversary of HSH Prince Rainier III and HSH Princess Grace Kelly, the erstwhile American actress.

I always enjoy writing to the royal family in Monaco. A response similar to this one is almost a sure thing for official occasions!
