Since starting this project in January of 2025 I have received nearly 100 replies from royals and nobles all over the world. Many of you have been following this journey for quite some time! And while its difficult to pick out the “absolute favorites” in the entire collection, the following are a few that are certainly “stand out” pieces in the collection so far! So, in no particular order….
HIS MAJESTY THE KING OF CAMBODIA
I admit, when I sent King Norodom Sihamoni a birthday greeting last year I expected complete radio silence. So imagine my pleasant surprise when this arrived just a month later!

Needless to say, I was happy enough with the reply. But I was bowled over by the signature! Royal signatures are always a prized part of my collection. I’m happy to say that this is the first of two signed responses from His Majesty, the second coming after a short letter I wrote in hopes of peace after conflict broke out between the Kingdoms of Cambodia and Thailand.
This kind of response is exactly why I love this hobby. And so is the next one!
her majesty queen camilla of the united kingdom
If you have been following my YouTube channel for very long you must have known one of my prized responses from Queen Camilla would be included here. I actually have seven (!) signed responses from Her Majesty, but I’ve chosen this one because it is on Birkhall letter head! The other replies I have received are from Clarence House.

Birkhall is a private residence where the queen is known to stay from time to time, so to receive a response form this private refuge instead of an “official” royal residence was a real treat!

his serene highness stephan, the prince of lippe
I would not have thought that a response from a relatively obscure German prince would become a favorite of mine, but this response from HSH Prince Stephan de Lippe is a real prize! A simple birthday greeting I had sent went unanswered for months and I assumed it was simply going to join the long, long list of unanswered mail in my catalog. I was shocked when this rather personalized reply arrived in the mail.

The handwritten note apologizes for the late reply, but explains that the German post is not always very prompt. But most surprising is the personal note at the end. At the time of this correspondence a devastating flood had ravaged parts of my home state and killed hundreds. I had not (and would never) reference such a thing in one of letters, so I was gobsmacked to read: “Greetings to Texas, I hope you were not affected by the horrible flood”
Wow! A great example of how even former royals stay engaged in meaningful ways with the public. Certainly this is a centerpiece of my collection.
his royal highness franz, duke of bavaria
Descended from the long line of Bavarian kings, HRH Franz, Duke of Bavaria, is head of the House of Wittelsbach today. He remains extremely active in the public and cultural life of Germany and is one of the more visible modern members of the old German royal families. Last year, he wrote an autobiography of his life and, for the first time, publicly acknowledged his decades-long relationship with his same-sex partner. I found this a stunningly brave thing to do for an older gentleman in his position and wrote him a letter of encouragement and support. His hand written reply is a treasure.

As I have said many times, even the heads of former royal and noble houses still take their duties and responsibilities quite seriously. HRH is a leader in this category.

These are obviously not my only replies, and many others I find very interesting and highly prize as part of my archive. But these are some of the ones that stand out to me, personally, as particularly special. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
