HRH Diana, Dowager Duchess of Wurttemberg is a remarkable woman – wife, mother, grandmother but also painter, sculptor, and renowned artist! Her cards are especially well known for their beauty and portraits of her and this response did not disappoint! I present, a “thank you” message in response to a birthday greeting I sent her, the first response I have ever received from the Duchess!
The card features the printed signature of Her Royal Highness and a message in German.
The Duchess is the widow of Duke Carl and the mother of Friedrich, Hereditary Duke of Wurttemberg. Tragically, Friedrich would never inherit the title, having unexpectedly died in a car accident in 2018. When Duke Carl died in 2022, the title passed to his grandson, Wilhelm, at the tender age of 28. He is the Duke of Wurttemberg today.
